I’m really not the target audience for this show, but for all its faults "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" season 2 did interest me enough to see it through to the end and still have some interest in seeing where a few of these characters go...

This is supposed to be about monsters right? Its mostly soap opera with minimal monsters. Seems like you get one half assed scene at the end of each hour long episode of what you really want. The rest of it means nothing to me and im asleep by the time something actually is worth watching comes around

Don't waste your time. It's the worst series. The show is literally titled, legacy of monsters, yet there are no monsters. It's basically watching a series version of Steel magnolias or The Notebook. The characters are all boring and there are no monsters. Did the writers forget they were writing a monster series and not a soap opera? Some of the reviews are literally saying, action-packed and things like that. I'm sorry, what? Action-packed? Where? Again this is like watching the notebook. There is no action. It's all talking, talking, reminiscing, talking, flirting, talking, reminiscing, then oh look there's Kong... then back to flirting and talking and being sad and talking and being in love and talking and being in love. So completely utterly boring. Apple should be ashamed of itself for putting out such a terrible series. And don't get me started on the absolutely horrible prosthetics on the actor that plays the old Japanese man. Someone should be fired over this show.

I think this is the right path for the Monsterverse. The characters are finally being fleshed out more, and there are actual stakes.

I’m honestly struggling to understand why this season was even greenlit. After the slow-burn buildup of the first season, you’d think the payoff would involve, you know, actual monsters. Instead, Monarch Season 2 doubles down on everything that didn't work and strips away everything that did.

It's a monster show with very little monsters and tons of family/relationship drama. Is this a soap opera or a show about King Kong and Godzilla?
