Blunt, inoffensive and occasionally diverting without ever being completely engrossing, it’s probably best enjoyed in the background while you commute or fold laundry or (let’s be real) scroll your phone. Go to Full Review

Love triangles can create solid dramatic tension if both romantic prospects feel like a worthwhile match for the leading character. Unfortunately, Freddie is a barely noticeable presence. Go to Full Review

Whether set in a rink, on a court, or in the pool, sports romances offer the thrill of competition meshed with the appeal of ardor, but this entry comes in a bit lukewarm. Go to Full Review

Despite the gorgeous costumes, beautiful visuals of blankets of snow, some lovely ice-dancing sequences 'Finding her edge' doesn't quite find its edge, owing to its uneven plot, some predictable story arcs and a forced love-triangle. Go to Full Review

If you’re looking for a lot of teen angst and conflict, Finding Her Edge is probably not for you. But the performances are good enough that you’ll have no problem sitting down and watching this mostly easygoing show with your entire family. Go to Full Review

Maud G. @potteryhogwarts Mar 7 It started off good. I was rooting for Adriana and disliked Elise, however, by the end, everything became the opposite — ended off bad then I started disliking Adriana. I mean I was really hoping Brayden would realize Adriana doesn’t know what she wants and move on. See more Kathleen D @kathleenduroy Mar 5 Well… the protagonist I rooted for became even more unbearable than the antagonist (Elise) by the end. This is budget ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ on ice and everyone is even worse. Was I the only one begging Brayden through my screen to run for his life from that disaster family and glad when he left the rink? Weak acting overall except for Ambrozic and Atkins— who outperforms the entire cast despite his boring character. Aside from the skating sequences, the thing that makes the show most unbelievable is the 17 year old going to a club and managing a skating rink full-time while visibly at least 5 years older than her age. The family was a mess beyond the point of return, nobody could pretend to be an athlete to save their life, and once we hit episode 6 it was just a soap opera. If you enjoy a messy story and are okay with absolute and complete suspension of disbelief, it’s not a bad show to have on while folding your very normal and non-Olympic family’s laundry. See more Sarah R. @Fancy Mar 4 It’s easy, it’s fun, I really enjoyed it See more Apolline B @Apolline Mar 2 I can’t believe this is getting a second season. There are so many things wrong with this show. Let’s start with the things that work, cause it’s a short list. The chemistry between the two leads. That’s it. And they threw that away for two characters that had no chemistry together and ruined Brayden’s personality in the process. Granted he wasn’t my favorite but the end makes him horrible. The acting was mid, but I can’t completely blame the actors because the dialogue was terrible. The plot was predictable and yet also the worse outcome they could have done? The complete switch in the love triangle at the end came out of nowhere and seems to be there just to drag the story on and demand a season 2. So many of the characters were detestable (Will, Brayden at times, Elise sometimes too) and others so boring (Freddie!!!). Honestly cannot complain enough about this show. Would’ve been 8 hours of my life down the drain if I didn’t learn exactly what not to do in a show from this one. See more Charline T @Charlinem10 Feb 22 It's been a long time since I've been this obsessed with a series. I loved the relationships between the different characters. If you like slow burns, forced proximity, and love triangles, you're in for a treat! I can't wait for season 2 to come out! See more Lola B @Lola_Black Feb 18 While I enjoyed the series, it could have been much stronger if it had developed the athletic side more. The "champion sister" is presented as a star, but we barely see her achievements before her fall, so her loss doesn’t feel impactful. The protagonist returns after years off the ice, but her rapid progress to a world-class level feels unrealistic. Pair training shows falls and mistakes, but these feel like challenges of a new duo rather than someone regaining form and stamina. Her romance with Freddy lacks chemistry, while with the other had more spark, though his dark turn at the end felt forced. Competitions feel small and limited—only a few pairs are shown, giving little sense of a real World Championship or competitive circuit. The skating scenes are well filmed and among the best parts of the series, but they’re too few to carry the narrative fully. In short: visually appealing and entertaining, but shallow on competition and training. See more Read all reviews
