Our need for solace is acute, and “Shrinking” is meeting it with an exceptional, timely arc about taking shelter in the communities we create. Go to Full Review

The greatest pleasure Shrinking has gifted the audience is how it’s evolved and expanded, and has become an even more potent piece of art about kindness and compassion than Ted Lasso. Go to Full Review

This third and by no means final run has become so soft and gooey it melted into a sentimental puddle. Go to Full Review

Though there is a bit of repetition in a couple story beats, the majority of the season offers more gently funny and genuinely emotional plotlines powered by its wonderful cast. Go to Full Review

Brian F @Perusal 1d I would have given the series 5 stars not too long ago. Now, it is bumming me out. I do not expect all sunshine and puppies, but they have a nice secondary character kill herself, give the nicest secondary character a heart attack, and then introduce an A-hole gpa who cannot be made to see any reason, and then they break up the cast and prepare to send them all off in different directions on bad terms. Why are we sending Harrison Ford away? He's the anchor. And as if that were not bad enough, why do he and Jimmy have to be on bad terms as he leaves? Right after having Jimmy break up with his new girlfriend? The series is a downer these days. See more Drew M. @Stonehands211 2d I think this season they really found their footing and balance with them humor and big saccharine heart. Most of the darkness was in the humor this time around and it worked wonders. I found the jokes landing a lot more this season. Also, easily the best Harrison Ford has been in years. He absolutely needs an Emmy for this season. I didn’t love the finale but it’s a good setup for next season. See more Enrico S. @Enrico Mar 27 Season 3 feels unnecessary: bloated characters, stretched plots, and a shift into sitcom territory that drains the show of its edge. See more Zach K @zachareykeel Mar 22 This season has lost its way. Jimmy is the only character that doesn’t feel like a caricature of himself from previous seasons. None of it feels realistic. There’s no interesting through point or character arcs this season. Most of the characters are just plain dumb with zero common sense. This season has just highlighted how mentally ill Hollywood is. Everything a therapist has said in this show that you pay a fortune to hear is something I could explain to you for free. Some people are just rich and I’ve never seen them do anything for employment. Harrison Ford is there to just be the wise man, and it’s boring. Without the interesting story arc of befriending the man who killed your wife, the cracks are starting to really show. See more Laura L. @laurakali Mar 21 I'm loving this season. See more John J @Upsidedowncowboy Mar 20 I love Shrinking! As my wife and I sat down to see the most recent episode, I commented that not much actually happens, but that's its magic: nothing much has to. The funny yet poignant scenes make me feel like I want to be sitting with Jimmy, Liz, Gaby, Derrek, Alice and Brian at the dinner table. And what a fun late career role for Harrison Ford, the crotchety mentor. Turning on the TV in 2026 is a dumpster fire of continual bad news and violent movies and shows. But Shrinking is a balm to the soul. See more Read all reviews
