See more Skekks S @Skekks Mar 16 Steal started with an interesting premise and the potential for a tense, morally complex story, but it ultimately felt like it lost its nerve. By the end of the series, none of the main characters showed enough accountability or growth to make you genuinely want them to succeed. They repeatedly make selfish or reckless choices, yet the story rarely forces them to face meaningful consequences. Because of this, it becomes hard to stay emotionally invested in the outcome. The finale is where the disappointment really lands. After building tension around the fallout of their actions, the show opts for an ending that feels strangely neat and almost "Disney-like." Conflicts resolve too easily and the darker tone the series hinted at earlier disappears. A far more fitting ending would have been a tragic one—where their choices finally caught up with them, even if that meant all of them dying.
