Based on Karin Slaughter's bestselling books, the series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. As a child, Trent was abandoned and was forced to endure a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta's overwhelmed foster care system. Now that he is in a position to make a difference, Trent is determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was. His personal motivation and background contribute to Will Trent having the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

The characters are great & very relatable. On top of the demands & pressures of their job, they also faces real, every day issues (addiction, divorce, depression, dyslexia) that make them believable. First two seasons were awesome, the third seems to have been a little scattered & maybe drifting off track. My hope is that resolves itself in season 4, but overall it was still an interesting season. Sonja Sohn that plays Amanda Wagner is great, but I am originally from Baltimore & I'm a big supporter/fan of The Wire cast. Her best character to me will always be Det. SHakima"Kima" Gregg.
