Ruy Iskandar
Acting didn't seem to be a possibility for Ruy Iskandar when he grew up in Indonesia until he was almost done high school. He took a theater class because he thought it would be easy and then wound up being enraptured by the art. From there, he gravitated towards acting, eventually winding up in New York University's Graduate Acting Program. He graduated there in 2010 and then took to the stage, first appearing in shows throughout Chicago and New York. His proximity to the Big Apple led him to guest appearances on TV shows filmed in the city, including an episode of "The Blacklist" (NBC 2013- ) and the pilot of "Gotham" (Fox 2014- ). In 2015, he was cast as Sebalos on Denis Leary's hockey-themed comedy "Benders" (IFC 2015-15).
