The Lowdown is a terrific writerly show and Harjo cleverly manoeuvres the problems of guilt and complicity in such a way that he might have gained a round of applause from the late Elmore Leonard, who knew a thing or two about making crime entertaining.

The agenda driven and unoriginal plot takes away from solid acting and directing. The main character - Lee Raybon - sacrifices everything, (including his family and personal hygiene), for the big story. But his age doesn't quite jive with his "angry young man out to save the world" persona. As the rating says - not bad, but not my favorite.
